What are automations?
A task on a schedule: hourly, daily, weekdays, or weekly. Each run is a normal task with its own record, and admins can review every standing schedule.
An automation (the product also calls them scheduled tasks) binds an agent, a prompt, optional files or Drive folders, and a timezone-aware schedule. Supported cadences are hourly, daily, weekdays, and weekly on the days you choose. Each run produces the same kind of task result and history as a task you sent by hand, so you can inspect any occurrence.
Schedules can be paused and resumed. An automation acts on the authority of the person who created it and that authority is re-checked every time it fires; if the person leaves the organization, their schedules stop. Administrators can list every standing schedule in the organization and revoke any of them.
