Get the tool, not a ticket

Describe the view you need in a channel, and an agent builds it, publishes it to your workspace and opens it beside the conversation.

Use your files and connectors

Your app reads connected Drive folders, calls connectors as the person who opened it, and maintains its own database and stores.

Review what each app reaches

Before your app runs, a consent card lists its connections and requests of you, with consistent wording across every surface.

Ask for the tool your team needs

Request an app in a channel or start from the command line to create a versioned app your team opens in the workspace.

Deploy in your environment

The app runner ships with Context and runs in your cluster, with backend functions enabled per deployment, KOTS self-hosting, CI-tested air-gapped installation, SAML and OIDC sign-in and SCIM provisioning.

Qualcomm runs Context in production. Read the case study.

Every Context workspace includes Apps, including the Free plan. Plus costs 20 dollars per person per month, and enterprise deployments run in your own cloud. Talk to us about a plan.

Questions

What can I build an app from?

Start with any request in a channel or a task. The agent reads the files you name, builds a single self-contained HTML document from a Vite project and publishes it as a version. Engineers can use the CLI to scaffold and deploy the same apps.

Which account does an app use?

An app uses the account of the person who opened it for its own stores, connectors, model calls and agent tasks. For a connected Drive folder, it uses its own account with read-only or read-and-write access as the connection allows. The op table identifies the account for every call.

Can an app access files I cannot?

No. Someone with permission to share a folder must grant the folder connection. Agent tasks started by an app use your access in a workspace where you can already run those tasks.

Does my app include a backend?

Yes, when backend functions are enabled for your deployment. The backend ships as one source file and runs in an isolated Node or Python runner, with a database, key-value store, file store, vector store and scheduled functions.

Who can publish apps organization-wide?

Only a person can publish an app organization-wide through Discover. Policy prevents agent accounts from doing so, and every publication is recorded as an audit event.

Build internal tools from a request with Context
