How do updates reach a self-hosted deployment?

Connected installs see a new version in the admin console and an operator deploys it. Air-gapped installs side-load release bundles. Nothing updates without your action.

On a connected install the admin console shows when a new release is available; your operator reviews it and clicks deploy. On an air-gapped install the release bundle is transferred in and applied the same way. Feature settings ship with the release, so the behavior you tested is the behavior you run. The update cadence and who operates it are agreed during implementation.
